Executive and Career Coach

What brought you here today?

You know it is time for a change, as scary as it may sound, you know something needs to change so you can be happier and more fulfilled.

You might feel stuck in your current role and are not sure where to go or how to do it. You might know very well what you want, but seem to be always hitting a glass ceiling. Or you might simply feel too comfortable where you are, and you know you need someone to challenge you and get you out of your comfort zone. Whichever your challenge, there is a solution, a North Star; you just need to find it and follow it.

Let me tell you the real stories of people who walked your path before you:

"I feel stuck"

Those were the exact words that came out of Andy's mouth on our first session.  He said: "My role doesn't feel as exciting as it once was. That little voice in my head is whispering that it is time for a career move, but I don't know what to do. I've been working for this company for most of my career; and I don't know what is out there. Even if I searched for roles, I don't know if I'd enjoy them or if I'd be any good at them. I feel stuck"

It's the hamster wheel syndrome. Peddling that wheel was fun for a period of time. It challenged us and kept us growing, but at some point we get that "déjà vu" feeling. We know too much of one thing, and feel stuck in a never ending cycle of constantly repeating the past.

We might even know people who seem to be very happy in their jobs. "What did I do wrong? Can I change something?" we wonder... The answer is "YES, you can, and should change".

Let's go back to Andy's story. The first part of our work together was focusing on increasing his self-awareness. We looked into his strengths, passions, skills... All those things he was giving for granted. Becoming more aware of who he truly was boosted his self-confidence and placed him on a invincible mental state.

Helped by his new level of self-awareness, we created a profile of his ideal job. He actually corrected me saying: "Ana, this isn't just my next role, this is also the vision I want to follow for the rest of my career, even when I climb to the top, I still want to live out this purpose we have created". I still get goosebumps when I remember the spark in his eyes looking at that page, his north star.

The next day he called me again. As if by magic, his company had just announced an imminent restructuring and they had created a new role that perfectly mirrored his north star. I helped him prepare for the recruitment process, and the rest is history!

Another happy and fulfilled man, and his ripple effect in the world

"I know what I want, but I keep hitting a glass ceiling"

Mary had been at a director level for three years longer than she had planned. She had applied for several VP roles during that time, with no success. She came to me desperate to give it one more try before giving up.

She mentioned she had worked with other coaches before to help her prepare her CV and other aspects of the recruitment process, but despite all the efforts that ceiling had proved to be an impossible barrier to break. Her CV looked very professional and needed little improvement. So where was the problem?

As she continued narrating her story and career goals, a few statements caught my eye. I asked her: "Mary, what are you most afraid of?". There were a few seconds of silence, and finally, with watery eyes she replied "I'm afraid of not doing a good enough job. I'm afraid of not reaching my career goals, but I'm also terrified of achieving them. What if fail? What if I'm a failure?"

We worked for several months on her limiting beliefs, and we slowly managed to rewire her brain and create more helpful ones. As a result she felt more confident in her goals and abilities, and her senior leaders felt the difference in her.

It took her less than a year since we started working together to get the promotion she wanted.

It is amazing to think how the same person who had been holding her back for so long, was the same one who launched her to success, HERSELF!

If you are in a similar situation, then you are in the right place!

Life is too short to continue doing something you don't enjoy, and therefore... Are you committed to walk the path you love?

And how can you find this path? How can you envision your new goals? And how can you make this change happen? All very valid questions. Let me explain how we could work together to find your goals and reach them. If you first would like to know more about me, I invite you to visit my page.
